Um. So we went to Puerto Vallarta two weeks ago for vacation, and this happened:
ANNOUNCING OUR ELOPEMENT! Yes, after 18 years of being together and ~15 years of Greg sort-of asking, I finally said yes! (Check out the video!) |

Friday, November 12, I gave Greg a card saying yes to his ongoing proposal(s). Monday morning, November 15th, we were married in a private ceremony on the beach at sunrise. Due to the short notice and it being a holiday weekend in Mexico, we weren't able to obtain a legal marriage license, so we went to the courthouse as soon as we got back to Colorado and made it official on the 18th.
Our wedding rings were made by a local silversmith we'd previously visited in San Sebastian, up in the mountains outside of Puerto Vallarta. We ordered them on Sunday and he delivered them to us on Monday. They are made of brushed silver and we are delighted with them. Some local PV friends also gifted us with a pair of hand-carved rings made from coconut shell, a PV tradition dating back to the 1940s. Very few craftsmen still practice this art, so we were thrilled to receive them.
Everything about it all was *perfect*.
